Dunno, something about it just felt awkward. Like with that scene where he just loses it and gets his son really drunk. I didn't get what that was about. Didn't see why it was necessary.

Unlike Jesse, who starts out as a small time little punk but quickly gets out of his depth and with all his naivety coming out he becomes much more easy to sympathise with. Cos he was never a hardened crook.

I watched four seasons of it in the space of a week, was bedridden with a bad case of glandular fever though, if that excuses me.

I don't think I'd even be able to do this. I'm not ill often, only for about 2 or 3 days a year (just happened to be the past 2 days) but when I am I can't enjoy or stand anything. Hate music, hate TV, hate video games, hate browsing the internet, hate food, hate being awake, hate sleeping.

I haven't seen that episode in a long time, but I think it was about him trying to maintain control in his life. I think at that time he felt really emasculated and that was his way of appearing as if he still has some say in the world/people around him. It was a an ego thing.

As far as Walt's moral decline, I still say it was well executed in the story lines. Seasons 1-3 he was portrayed as this morally upright person who pretended to be violent and dangerous in order to get ahead in his meth dealings, but was actually frightened and confused most of the time.

since season 4, it's now the exact opposite. He now pretends to be the same family man he's always been, but in reality has lost any sense of innocence and compassion he once had in him. He's had to embrace the negative and egotistical side that he's spent so much time bottling up, that now he's lost sight of who he actually is. I think that season 3 and season 4 were the most crucial seasons because they show just how he evolved from a 'good' person to 'bad' one in a very lucid fashion. At least, I personally think it flowed well. But that's just me.
