Another excellent Voivod album that I found boring at first glance, but these days, it rocks! They put so much effort into this that it makes it even better than their debut War And Pain.
I Thought that was excellent! But this is a fair bit better. Great riffs and catchy tunes! Another great album!

This album is so cool! I mean I love "Killing Technology" and apart from this album KT is the only other Voivod album I own on vinyl and they both rule but if pressed to pick a favorite I have to go with "Dimension Hatross." It's got the classic dissonant Piggy guitar lines and great performances by Away, Blackie and Snake just like KT only on this one the combination of the wacky dissonance of the guitars and the beautiful melodies of the vocals just creates such a unique and powerful sound. No matter how f****d up the instrumental aspects of the songs are they still all stick in your head because of the great simple melodies. The band was completely gelling here on all areas: the performances are tight because the band was a well oiled machine here, the musicianship of each member was getting better and better, the songwriting was superb, the concepts/artwork were well thought out and well executed and Harris Johns' production was fantastic! Seriously everything about this album is great. P.S. I always felt that Harris Johns was one of the best and underrated producers ever! He always got fantastic sounds out of every band he worked with while (most importantly) keeping each band's unique sound and atmosphere in tact. The proof is in the work Voivod - "Killing Technology," Immolation - "Dawn Of Posession," Sodom - "Agent Orange," Kreator - "Pleasure To Kill," need I say more?

Best Voivod for sure
Unless I'm listening to Outer Limits, then I might consider that the best. I swap between the two.

Nobody, I mean nobody talks about The Outer Limits without me. It is one of my favorite albums ever made. Number 3 to be exact.

I’m going to just assume this is a grower, it’s an interesting album so far & has its moments but doesn’t hit quite as hard on first impression as Killing Tech.
I’ll return after Nothingface.
