It's actually unreasonable how good From Yesterday is. Perfect pop song.

this band always used to have the best singles and then you'd get to the album and then you'd realise that they were singles for a reason and the rest was kinda average but goddamn were the singles worth it

This is War is one of the most singalong-able albums in its entirety that I've ever heard. If you aren't LOUDLY singing Kings and Queens in your car you're objectively a scrub.

No way dude. The Kill is one of the weakest songs on here

Savior is a fucking beast though.

LOVE Savior. I like The Fantasy a lot too. The Kill is not weak though.

I would even say the same thing about The Kill

Same goes for Fantasy and a lot of their other songs. They tend to write super catchy verses but then the chorus usually sounds repetitive and plain in comparison.

Reading all of this makes me want to listen to this again. Has been years, maybe I should revisit it one of these days.

Have to disagree about fantasy, that chorus is amazing

It's okay but it doesn't really fit the rest of the song imo. It comes out of nowhere and leaves just as suddenly. I think that's particularly evident at the end of the first chorus, that transition is kinda awkward as far as I remember

Was It A Dream has crept up to be my favourite on this album. Never paid much attention to it back in the day though.

That's because the emo trend bullshit that happened those days, now most of us can appreciate many of those albums called "emo" without being afraid that you're part of that group.

Emo was not necessarily a bad concept. Much like nu-metal, the genre simply became subject to stereotype. Now that time has passed and most of us can step back and see the big picture, opinions have changed and horizons have opened. When examining the likes of My Chemical Romance and Thirty Seconds to Mars, one rather interesting examination is that both of these bands were very raw upon their debuts and softened once the genre peaked in the mid-2000's.

Completely agree DropTune.

Emo was just another teenage trend. Plain and simple. Nothing wrong, or good about it. It opened the minds of the 2000s youth to a certain style and they ran with it until it naturally wore out.
