Beths album with Rustin Man - Out of Season is an all time fave of mine. Incredible stuff. I prefer it over the Portishead material.

It's very good agreed, but it never clicked the way Portishead's stuff did for me. That is to be expected because Portishead are in my top three of all time if I had to choose.
I'll play that Rustin Man album again soon, has been a while!

I see the Rustin album as a case of showing she’d have been a slightly boring folk singer but she’s incredible in Portishead :/

So incredible. In those live renditions, man, coming from her toes.
There's no-one quite like her.

I know, just saw it too!
I'd have to think about that one for a while though, don't know if I have enough to say about it.

Yup, very true! This album has so much to discover, each track has weird little details that you only notice after hearing it a couple of times.

"Esteja alerta para a regra dos 3, O que você dá retornará para você, Essa lição você tem que aprender, Você só ganha o que você merece."
Man, i have no clue if those lyrics are about Ronaldinho or Copacabana but the rhythm that follows puts me in a trippy state of portismind.

It is the Portuguese version for the law of three:
'Heed and beware the Rule of Three: three times thy acts return to thee'. It's an old Wiccan precept about reaping what you sow, underscored tonight by the incipient menace of 'Silence', the first track off the new album.
