It's albums like this that make me dislike the classic rating on this site. This is a classic album, hands down no one can deny that this is a quintessential east coast hip-hop album that helped define a genre.



But is it good music?



I think so, but others may not. Same goes with The Beatles. Were they a classic musical group? Yes, but i still can't stand their music. That's why i dislike the "classic" tag a 5 has on this site. It should be more along the lines of "perfect", but not as definitive as "classic"

You see what i mean? Classic seems more like an influence rating rather than a true measure of what the music is. I always have trouble rating things a 5 because it's just a bad descriptive term.
