One of the greatest hip-hop albums ever made. Can't believe I haven't rated it yet.

Lots of filler on this one, but the first 3 tracks + 'Express Yourself' really uplift it.

it's not as much filler as it is tracks that aren't as great as the rest

Surprised there isn't more discussion about the movie going on. I loved it. The 2 hours just breezed by. Altough I can't personally comment on the accuracy as I've never followed these guys closely

On two separate occasions when the characters started reciting their verse into the mic on screen, I heard to different people say, "Oh my god! He sounds JUST like him, too!"

Hahaha none of that when I saw it. They did do a fantastic job casting though and the only part where I found the fact that they were overdubbing the performances really noticeable was the part with 2pac in the studio. The synch was off and I was kind of surprised they let that slide

The beats aren't nearly gritty enough to match the subject matter

I get that this was a big deal at the time, but today it's just aight

You could also argue that it makes the movie a bit bias. I mean, I loved it, but it seemed like Dre and Ice Cube basically did no wrong the entire film, so I think that took me out of the experience a little bit.

That's true. And hell, if their names are in the credits then I don't think they'd allow all their bad deeds to be made public anyway. Making this movie is about making money first, let's be honest. Hence, the lack of women abuse and other serious crimes.
