I have this WHBWH, and WS all at 4's. Gonna re-listen to them all and decide which one I should bump.

this album here has some pretty big 5 potential. When the acoustic guitar comes in on Parisienne Moonlight i have a spaz
attack.

The fucking solo in Pitiless, you would think it's against the law to make the guitar squeal like that, fucking amazing.

Haha I know I know, production annoys me and it feels kind of samey throughout. Might bump by a bit though after re-listening :D

I actually agree with that. In fact, most Anathema albums suffer from that same problem.
WS for example, unless you have top class speakers (which I don't), you can't play it very loud, or else the sound would come out distorted and noisy as fuck.

I don't have top class speakers either, they don't come cheap unfortunately. WHBWH's production was good, the snare drum was a bit dry and dull though, and the bass at times wasn't as crisp as it should've been. And I think WS' production was good as well. The guitar should've been chunkier, the bass was dull, but overall I think it was good.
They definitely deserve top notch production
