Beneath the Sky is pretty good. Their screamer actually sounds almost identical to my band's vocalist. His highs are pretty good.

As far as I can tell you mainly judge bands by vocalists though because you're a vocalist right? Yeah, I play guitar, drums AND bass. And I don't scream. So generally I judge bands on the music. haha.

I judge bands from a musical standpoint as well, those bands are just mediocre is all I'm saying. Srsly, check out the bands I mentioned, you'll probably like them.

I Growl/Scream in a band, but I try not to let that effect the way I judge music. And I have a Haste the day cd, I got it when it came out in like 2004-05 or something like that, but anyways, I didn't like it the first time I listened to it, but I played it again and I like it alot now.

I'll check out their myspaces right now. I'm really not doing anything.

Prayer for Cleansing is pretty cool. members went on to form btbam, that's pretty fucking tight. when the sun kisses... is a really cool song. Dead Man in reno is pretty good too thusfar. Bridge To Solace would be incredible with better producing and more diverse vocals. But they're pretty awesome too. Not digging rifles at recess as much as the others.

Oli Sykes is a douche and the band rip off The Black Dahlia Murder and replace the awesome vocals with terrible wannabe deathcore vox.

I read an article by a guy that played with BMTH before they got very poular and he said that oli ALWAYS uses vocal effects even live (somehow?) idk if it was that or just his voice but i dont like it, it doesnt sound as raw as the black dahlia murder.

im not gonna restart that arguement but i dont even see elements of regular death metal other than the drums and the (poor) low vocals.

If they've improved the musicianship and dropped the generic breakdowns and repitition in their songs, they could be a good melo-death band. Not deathcore or metalcore or neo grind krautrock either ffs.
