Yeah, Only Twin was my early favourite and is still a highlight

Love this band so much! They definitely had their own sound nailed down, and reached their peak with this album. I think a lot of it stems from Mark Heron's style of drumming, he uses the hi-hat with his foot which frees up his hands to go to town.

Yeah, Mark Heron's drumming adds so much to the sound. His absence is why Vennart doesn't really do much for me

I'd say my least fav is Christy's yet that is still some amazing post-rock and some of the best the genre has to offer.

Yeah, I agree. Sometimes I'm just not patient enough for that song.

Christys is so post metal, it wouldn't have been out of place on a mid era CoL album imo. i love it. It is true though that it is rather patience testing

Urgh this album is just too amazing for words. A true god-tier piece of art.

Along my first listen of this album, Only Twin was that oh shit moment that made me realize this was really something special. It's like an awful plot twist you weren't expecting and everything that comes after is forever changed because of it

Truly a testament to how music can really move you.

If Savant or The Frame doesn't make you emotional, then you are not human

Listened to this yesterday and it was alright, not quite getting the buzz behind it yet though.

I liked this on first listen but it wasn't until the third that it absolutely blew my mind. It's a top ten GOAT for me, without question.

If you haven't listened to Effloresce and Everyone In Position, I'd say do that first. They're all amazing.

Agreed with Lucman, Frames is really not the album to start with. EiP especially is much more immediate

Effloresce is probs the best starting point imo

Heh fair
At the same time, this is p easily the peak of 21st century prog so arguments in general are a little moot ;]

One of the things i love the most about 'size is that while technically, the music is not asimilar to other progressive artists both in terms of musical profiency and their use of instruments, but their music doesn't seem the slightest bit pretentious. Everything flows so naturally. Take Commemorative T-shirt, the build to the climax feels so earned
