But in all seriousness guys, I'm just not a fan. The album just kind of beats at the same stuff I've listened to a million times before. I like older Amorphis and thats about it. Maybe one day I will give this another listen. I struggled to get through this yesterday.This Message Edited On 01.02.09

Keeping up with the comments here I've heard many things. The tail end of the album isn't strong at all, some songs are repetitive, not enough metal (stupid reason but w/e people think).... etc...

The first half is easily stronger than the second half, even if Black River is my favorite song here.
But I can see why people can rate this under a 4. Don't have much of explanation but I think I had this at a 3.5 a while ago.

And yes, the first half of this album starts off really strong and then by the time the first song is done, I'm asleep.
