That doesn't make it fit any better.

I've stated this before but the bluegrass bit is one of my favorite parts of the album.
This album just gets better with repeated listens.

I agree the album gets better; I can't stop listening to it.
I just f'ing hate the banjo shit.

I agree that Alaska was way more metal, if anyone said that earlier.

White Walls is the best track on here. The second Born is almost as good, and Ants Of The Sky is killer. Alaska > TSC > Colors.

The first two tracks, and Prequel are probably the worst. Viridian + White Walls together are amazing, but Sun is by far my favorite on the track.
TSC > Colors > Alaska > S/T (which is still amazing)

Worst is Unformal Gluttony. Prequel isn't that bad, and the first Born sounds like a Pink Floyd track for 85% of it. On a related note, Ad A Dglgmut could possibly be the best BTBAM ever.

I really like Informal, especially the beginning and the transition from Born.

BTBAM try so damn hard on White Walls to be "progressive" but thats what makes it so awesome. My favorite song off of colors.

"Ants in the Sky" and "White Walls" pwn...Sun of Nothing, and the second born are probably my least favorite.
Colors>TSC>Alaska>BTBAM

Ants of the Sky is still my favourite off this album. It is soooooo good. Then Sun of Nothing then White Walls.
Also, Alaska is the worst BTBAM album. Worse, as in, it's less awesome then the other two but still retains a credible level of awesomeness.

BTBAM is officially annoying as hell on this album and this is coming from someone who used to enjoy them a lot
They need to stop trying so frigging hard to throw crap into their songs and actually focus on writing the core death metal parts because the metal parts are boring as hell and the other stuff is just making it more noticeable (as well as more annoying on the whole)
I liked them a bit when they were just technical and once in a while they threw in some things that would be a LITTLE out of the ordinary, now they're just going overboard; if I want eclecticism I'll listen to Mr. Bungle once in a great great while and if I want technical deathcore I'll go back to Glass Casket, since these guys just suck at it now

Ya but you used the term "deathcore" so it doesn't count anymore. I just don't like them at their heaviest. I like it when they're melodic, even if it's cheesy.

If they wrote an entire song with scale sweeping and chords on rhythm guitar I think that might just be lamer than what they're doing now
Though I'm not sure because they have a section like that in every damn song they write

They definitely use sweeping, but it's not the only thing they do.

If they just put death parts, and don't have the wierd songs structures they wouldn't be BTBAM, they would be just another Death Metal band. Their change to heavy to incredabley beauiful is why they are so awesome. This album takes what they did in their other three and steped it up a notch. With this album, they are up there with Opeth, Tool, and Dream Theater in my bookThis Message Edited On 10.09.07
