When I first saw your rating I really wanted to check out what kind of a deaf mofo would give it a 3. I thought your review was as bad as the 2.5 guy's. Well I guess I was wrong. This is one of the best reviews I've read in a while, real raw talent you got there. Though, I have to disagree with almost everything. If this album's got something, it's spirit and emotion, it's definitely not devoid of it in any part. Just as all Opeth albums have it, especially the acoustic bonus tracks. I just can't believe how you put The Drapery Falls in the same basket as Dirge for November and The Funeral Portrait. They're 3 totally different songs with hardly anything alike. While The Funeral Portrait is the weakest spot in the album, it nevertheless fits good. Still, it's a matter of opinion, and yours is very well backed up so I have to say good work.

This staff guy gave this album the same rating as bmth's suicide season.
