This is actually where they lost me. Seen them a bunch of time up to this record and I enjoy some of it 'Forever failure' Is one of the best tracks they ever did but its all about Icon and Shades of god for me. Never felt anything after this.

This was a great album, and their last really great album for awhile, but it just didn't stand up to Icon. If Icon had Draconian Times' drummer and production, it would be perfect.

Still a very good album but not my favourite of them. Not too long ago I discovered Faith Divides Us and today Tragic Idol and I have to say I love the atmosphere on both albums much more than on Draconian Times (well it's much older than those to be fair so the atmosphere isn't as thick there).



Also the songs on average are much shorter on Draconian times with many 3 minute songs.

Favourite songs: Forever Failure, Enchantment, Elusive Cure, Shadow Kings, Hallowed Land, Yearn For Change.



Only song I don't like on it is The Last Time, the chorus doesn't give me anything. Also I always loved Nick's singing voice, and I don't like their first album at all



btw same about the goth kick but I especially love 80's & 90's dark wave and old goth rock.
