Man, you’re gonna say their reunion stuff is disappointing then claim that I Bet on Sky is better than Beyond and Farm? Do you grow your contrarian opinions in a lab somewhere?

Farm's kinda overrated and secretly pretty homogenous, I Bet on Sky actually felt like an attempt at varying things. Especially since "Rude" might actually be the most unique Lou Barlow song of the reunion stuff period (though obviously it's no Don't, Lose, Forget the Swan, or Poledo) and "Almost Fare" has one of the catchiest beats of the reunion stuff. Not sure why that'd be lumped into with the 2 following albums which are more homogenous than even Farm



I don't really do contrarian for contrarian sake, but I'm also not one for being peer pressured into accepting the most popular opinion. It's best just to say how you really feel about things

Said it before, 'Farm' is 10/10 for power but only a 7 out of 10 for song writing overall.



'Beyond' doesn't have the production but it has superior song writing, 9/10 overall or something like that, more variety.



They're definitely the two best reunion albums, and to that I'd add that the Mascis 'More Light' album is third best in this era. 'I Bet on Sky' I was a bit done with the band so I could revisit that and see how it stacks with the new one.
