there's a trace amount of sludge on this. after this, they went pretty much all prog with no sludge.
it still rules I mean that's the thing that bugs the shit out of me when people talk about this band. "so many better sludge bands out there" as if apparently the only criteria by which you judge a band and the quality of their material is how well they perform within the rigid definition of the genre(s) they're touted as

i mean they've got some influence but same goes for death metal, hardcore and grind (esp on this album, from what I remember). why single out the sludge? cause of the vox?
