Close to the edge has one of the best keyboard solos ever created

I think this album is super emotional

The latter half the title track just slays me every time, especially when that organ hits

Today was the first time I purposefully listened to this having heard it numerous times as a kid (but not really paying it huge amounts of attention). I really like some of it, not all of it... occasionally the vocals are mildly irritating & I'm not entirely sure why.

I know man, why can't I just delete my double-post... maybe it's possible? Very sad.

I know, just playing. They're only mildly irritating, the vocals seem indicative of the era so it's probably not the guy's fault. Probably recording techniques of the time, or something...

This is super-creative & the vocals have grown on me. It doesn't descend into complete wankery either (mostly, anyway).

Is there about 5 different versions of this album? The original apparently only contains 3 tracks & is around 37 minutes. I've listened to it all but preferred the 'original album tracks'. There are a couple of 'American single' versions & alternative versions of previous tracks. I guess you guys might have different versions.
