ive always liked the album art variant where the colors of the sky and buildings are flipped, looks a lot cooler.

I don't know if I have a favorite Anberlin album, just a set of songs. At this point Lowborn probably means the most to me.

Just out of curiosity Sowing, what makes Lowborn your favorite?

There are some great tracks on Lowborn (We Are Destroyer, Hearing Voices, Stranger Ways are probably my favorites) I just don't enjoy listening to the album from start to finish like I do with other Anberlin records. Maybe its the overall mood or lack of hooks. I'm not completely sure.

I don't think it's their best album. Cities is the only thing by them I have rated a 5. But Lowborn just struck a chord with me, could just be nostalgia of it being their "fin" album. Also I'd argue that it's mad consistent, probably their easiest front to end listen.

I had to listen to this after listening to Skillet's new album. It was pretty crappy.

Totally understandable. Nostalgia plays a huge factor into which albums are my favorites too. Ranking my age old, nostalgia favorites from my new favorites is usually a tough task.

this album is amazing, kinda makes me wonder why these guys never incorporated more yelling in small doses of songwriting like they do on Dismantle Repair.

one moment this album makes me want to jump around with energy, and then next song i just sit and quietly listen to the lyrics on the slower ones.

ah yeah, that acoustic riff is just so nice.

I also love, love, love the slightly modulated vocals that echo "hello alone" in hello alone. vocal modulation in general is just a sexy sound.
