My takeaway from these 3 albums is that panopticon has my favorite song of the band but this is by far my favorite album of the 3

Yea, Absence has great moments. Garden of Light is still one of the best closers ever

Garden of Light is pretty easily my least fav ISIS closer, but the 3-4 great tracks on ITAOT are as good as anything they made
but yeah if there's one thing listening to this band for 10+ years has taught me, it's that Oceanic is always a little bit better than you think it is

Hopefully get to finish Cult of Luna tomorrow but prob not cause I still have only listened to two albums by them, then onto Thou discog

I should probably retry cult of luna properly soon. I do like them but could never fully get into them like ISIS or Neurosis

"Carry" with the lyrics pulled up was my woah moment for Oceanic. a song about drowning that sounds like crushing inevitability.
