That makes sense. I really need to find some more 'everyday listening' DM, a lot of the stuff I like definitely requires a certain mood or situation.

Most of the classics like Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, etc I can throw on whenever.

DM has never been and will never be an "everyday listening" genre for me. I try it sometimes, but I tune out after 4 or 5 songs tbh

They're one of the most accessible DM bands out there for sure. And one of the few who's later work is better than their initial stuff imo

Will do, listening to Blashemy Made Flesh right now though which admittedly has some serious groove. I do get what bloc is saying though, this sort of thing can be fairly homogenous & blend into one giant song after a while if you’re not feeling it.

The bulk of my music listening is done in the form of an ipod on shuffle at the gym, so that's where DM works best for me personally.

Sitting at home listening, sure, I never shuffle. But at the gym it really is quite stimulating and gets the blood pumping.

Surely that depends entirely on what comes on? You must have a specific playlist to use.
