Yeah, gave this another spin today for the first time in a few years. Really impressed with the instrumentals, but I still can't get passed those fucking vocals. Damn it, it's such a shame- I feel like I would love this band if it wasn't for that one goddamn member.

I mean it's varied and I respect that, but I just think its a bad combination of power/emo/metalcore and its kinda ehhhhh

lol well he used to be an opera singer iirc so his vocals are very over the top. once you get past the tone of his voice you begin to realize hes actually a phenomenal singer. it took a while for me to warm up to them

In some parts I love Rody's and in other parts I can't stand them. It's gonna take a bit up digest this, but you can't deny that the musicianship is fantastic

I've had this for a few months, like the instrumentation but I don't see myself ever getting used to these damn vocals

I used to think that. But then they clicked

@FourthReich, i think that was directed at me, he was referring to the vocals
Yeah, I dunno. It's just very much not my style at all

Not my style of vocals either, but I find the catchiness, grooviness, stylistic diversity and basically everything else about the album so good that I make this one exception. It's like the mole on your girlfriend's back - you love it as much as you love her - which is a lot.

Me and my friend were driving around singing to this and I think it blew out my voice.
