Ants of the Sky is the worst. I used to die for that song and i used to think Gluttony was the worst but I quite enjoy Gluttony now.

Nah Gluttony rules. The clean vocals on it are some of the best on the album next to the ones towards the end in Sun of Nothing. Ants of the Sky could have been cut in half length-wise though, it drags too much.

What BassDemon said about the clean vocals. So good. Ants of the Sky is like Colors' Swim To The Moon, just not as bad.

I should've clarified that I meant the backup clean vocals on Informal Gluttony. That harmony when they sing "Feed me fear" is epic.

informal and decade of statues have no direction - theyre just random riffs held together by a chorus. the longer songs actually have a direction, climax, resolution, etc

Great album. I think Tommy's vocals are actually best here, especially on "Sun of Nothing". The singing parts are so epic...

Sun of Nothing > Ants of the Sky > White Walls > Foam Born: The Backtrack > Informal Gluttony > Prequel to the Sequel > Foam Born: Decade of Statues > Viridian

saying informal has no direction is pretty ridiculous - its the most focused and has the best flow on the album

decade has some of the coolest guitar parts and it's also the heaviest

if you want to talk about no direction and random riffs listen to sun of nothing again

I hate Tommy's vocals so much on Parallax. I think it's the way their produced but ugh they're so grating.

His harsh or his clean singing?

not at all, the only way informal is focused is the intro and outro. everything in between is just:

riff x4 - wank - riff x4 - wank - chorus - riff x4 - wank - riff x4 - wank - chorus - etc

and sun of nothing definitely has a beginning, middle, climax and resolution.

His harsh vocals. It feels like they're too loud in the mix and too thin. Many would say "wull dats cuz he sucks at screaming" but if you've seen them live you know he shakes the whole room.
