the intention of the strike was actually to get a lot of the faculty to step down in response to many different things, but the main focus of the ppl actually in the strike was racism, which was odd because that's not initially what caused ppl to be upset with the faculty. basically the faculty wasn't responding to the honestly pretty racist culture going down at mizzou.

originally the issue had to do with them not fully supporting their graduate students or something like that, but the community made it a race thing (which was honestly an issue at the time)

Let's watch it from above: there's a word that one cannot use if his/her skin is of a certain color. Doesn't this sound... racist?
