Yeah NTFP cannot be overlooked. It's gettin old, but it's still very good to this day, and offers some of the harder hitting tracks Anberlin has ever written.

Still cannot get into Vitals at all. Something about it just doesn't sit right with me.

They probably could have replaced or done away with a couple of the slow tracks on Vital. I always felt Other Side really dampens the good, uptempo flow that Self-Starter and Little Tyrants create.

I like Someone Anyone a lot more. I think it would have made a better opener.

I thought maybe my fellow Anberlin lovers wouldn't be offended and possibly enticed if I shared that my first full album is up online now. Cheers, love you all

you know
i think i feel like this is barely enjoyable if you take out the nostalgia

That's a terrible realisation and I hope it doesn't happen to me. Although I might lower it to a 4.5.

I think Anberlin are hugely overrated. And I consider myself a fan.

Waior - Disagree! This album isn't nostalgic for me the way that their earlier albums are. Probably because I never really listened to it in full back then...or maybe more because their whole overall sound is one that I enjoy, and I can see only marginal change in sound between, say, "Readyfuels" (from their first album) and "Little Tyrants" (from 'Vitals').
I find that their sound is so recognizable from their first album through their last that I can't dislike their albums if I like the sound, even if I find some songs (and therefore some albums) weaker than others.

Nostalgia has little to do with me liking this album. On the other hand, why take out the nostalgia anyway?
