Album is pretty solid, but it lacks something i just can't tell though.

You may be right, some of just seems like it's misplaced.

The fact that almost all the harsh vocals occur at the start of the record is what it is, they should
have been spread out more evenly.

Now that you point that out i realize that, other than a couple songs the growls arent consistent at all and just fade in and out quickly.

This album just needed a bit more pace in the middle, it really slows down after The Lotus Eater, and
at times feel like an album of two halves.

Definitely, Porcelain Heart and Burden are just meh, but Hessian Peel comes back in to save it.

Burden rules, Porcelain Heart is def the weakest on here but still not bad.
