Oh my! But this was a very common English mistake, not a mystical Japanese misinterpretation.

i'm certain that to pluralise haiku you just add another u to the end of the word

Luckily, being a flower, I'm very partial to poo, shit, and the like.

Johnny that was wonderful I'm crying.

That, too, was gorgeous occy. Nicely free form. With the Opeth reference in there recalling a season (am I doing it right Johnny? Or is that season thing also a myth?).

In dawn's tender light,

Silent echoes, shadows fade,

Morningrise whispers.

I really like Opeth, but I find them so fickle, to the point that it's hard for me to convince myself to listen to material of theirs that I'm not familiar with. And the love this album gets is jarring for me. Black Rose Immortal feels like it's purposelessly wandering between (sadly very interesting) ideas, constantly switching atmospheres to the point it gets frustrating. On the other hand, the album is plagued by a really weird, muddy mix, that turns listening to the busier moments of the album into a headache. Guess I'll be sticking to their later works

Check the remaster. That at least does something about the muddiness.

The frustration is a challenge only you can solve.
