After first listen I can say: wow, didn't expect this album to be that strong.



So far I had 3 albums of them: White Pony, SNW and KNY, all amazing in their own way but on their new album all the songs are extremely well structured with twists I sometimes didn't expect of them.

Most songs on Ohm don't follow the typical 3 chorus routine (very different from the other 3 albums I have of them, especially KNY).



It's rare for me to give an album a 4.5 after only one listen but here it is.

@Sint it's atmospheric tones mixed with crazy vocal gymnastics from Chino. There's a few heavy moments too, but not just an aimless chug fest like you describe.

They frustrate me greatly Pleb as their sound is a combination of many things I love but I think their songwriting chops, Stephen's riffs and Chino's vocals have been severely lacking for years and have never been spectacular at their best (Chino's vocals the exception there)

Ohms has better structured songs than White Pony (which has other strengths of course) so it deserves to have a similar average.

I can see this not being everyone’s cup of tea, but I seriously love this album, gets better with every listen (as is the case with most of their discog)
