Your names are similar and you both speak with a lot of conviction while dropping retarded opinions so would make sense

I probably have a hard time with music that seems to “imply” a strong melody without delivering it. I sometimes run into this issue with “groove based” music even if I like a lot of ambient and drone (which possesses no such “implication”) etc. TKOL is in a weird space like that but I also don’t enjoy even the grooves or individual sounds. “Bloom” was cool live

My biggest problem with your tkol takes is that this thing about implying melody is just abject nonsense and I’m not sure if it’s just that you were so unadjusted to any sort of electronic when it came out that your brain couldn’t process what is actually a pretty simple and melodic album that pretty much entirely revolves around locking into grooves or what is going on there but I think you’ve manifested a mental block where a problem doesn’t exist.

Eh I’m just reverse engineering, could just say shit is a completely uninspired midfest followup to a spectacular album with no good ideas, none of their best songs, and like half of their worst.

lol at reef only just realising that Potsy is Pots, erm… 🤔 yeah think about it
but I’m also taking his side in this because although Bjork has precisely two essential albums, she also has many more I enjoy (RH have more ‘above that baseline’ but also an equal amount of trash, so it’s close)
weird comparison, but someone went there and I guess that’s what we do here

“Morning Mr magpie,” “little by little,” and “feral” back2back2back and you’re really saying it’s up to snuff? Shit goes off? Among their best work

It’s not the worst music in the world it’s just like cmon they can do better than that shit. Not one of those songs means a single thing to me, and I just listened to all three. Paint drying

How would I know this goof uses multiple accounts here lol. I just thought they had similar names. Only his TKOL glazing made me connect the dots

🤔 I do think RH have slightly more points in the bag, but it’s close and Pablo / The Bends / Moon really hurts them as much as Utopia / Fossora / Volta (which is actually fun) does for Bjork. Med / HTTF are both flawed and a wash for me.
It’s tough because the comparison isn’t 1-for-1 as RH have less LPs (weirdly, feels like they shouldn’t).

You could, that’s just as lazy and off point of a criticism as anything else you’ve said about it so far so why not? I’d love to hear a well articulated critique of the album but this just comes across like trying too hard to rationalize why you don’t like it when it’s obviously merely a preference thing and picking the most common critiques for something out of a hat. Even if you don’t like the ideas it’s extremely self evident that tkol is inspired and not lacking in them and is undeniably the most unique album in their discog. You’re far too smart and articulate for such a poorly incubated opinion.
