While reading up on this I saw that PJ Harvey is a big fan of this, and (unrelated) I just listened to her debut for the first time in a while and I definitely hear the influence there. Interesting.

Also I fucking love this now. Despite not liking "Nosferatu Man" on first listen I'm digging that song really hard now.

Actually add the caveat "acclaimed albums within genres I enjoy" - this one's pushing it because it's barely post-rock, but maybe it could now serve as a gateway drug for post-hardcore/math rock.

Now that this has grown on me only one I don't really love is "For Dinner". It does its job as an interlude well enough but doesn't really interest me a ton taken on its own.
