it's cause it's their 25th anniversary. understandable that they'd pick out a few from their very first album. it's a solid release actually, takes some getting used to but is pretty awesome.

no i know, i actually like it a lot, its cool cause its basically a groove/thrash album but with the polyrhythm-y elements of their later stuff. still, the lack of dei saddens me deeply

I think the new Opeth album with grow on me and maybe beat out Heritage in the long run. Too early to say without hearing the entirety.

Both of them take time to grow on you. They are very well constructed, in my opinion. I still don't think it will be anything above a 4 though in the grand scheme of things.

I wouldn't bother with Cusp of Eternity, Cap. It's one of the least interesting songs they've ever done. Eternal Rains is good
but not as good as the best moments on Heritage.
