They got rid of a lot of the background noise and little nuances that made it so special. It sounds too clean, the third part of it in particular sounds considerably weaker to me

So, the vocals in particular are the thing that stands out to me. In the original, they sound kinda stacked, layered, and the guitar in the background, which gives it such an incredible atmosphere, is also kind of drowned out on the remaster. I prefer the darker, muddier sound the original has. The remake sounds too clean to me, foregoes the atmosphere and sounds a little more like something you'd hear on No Heroes.
