'Damn man, that interview is super interesting! I was very surprised when he mentioned King Crimson though'

What a legend.

I was very surprised to learn that snooker great Steve Davis digs Magma, that guy always had a rep for being dull and this little nugget made him at least Opeth's discog average x more interesting. Probably not the audience for this comment because snooker, but there we go.

Ghost of Perdition and Reverie/Harlequin Forest are utter perfection. Actually I’d love the latter even more if the last few minutes were different, like an acoustic section or something. They seemed to lessen the acoustic guitar starting after BWP.

Yeah I shoulda clarified, obviously there’s plenty of acoustic guitar in all 5 of their prog rock albums.

Deliverance is basically the last of that classic Opeth sound, yes there’s some acoustic guitar, more than this and Watershed probably, but it’s also their heaviest, especially the first half.

That’s my fault haha, I was going through listening to their discography after I had edited all the songs to make them instrumental (except I left in clean vocals) using Audacity.
