I can definitely get behind oblivion but in general this is a lot to take on continuously. I know it's kind of her aesthetic but I feel like this gal has a very loose tether to this Earth.

Boucher came to me by way of accident. My first listen of 'Visions' had me reeling... Retreating full throttle from the recording because I basically found her voice so damn cloying. However, one afternoon while working, I had somehow added this CD to my iPod and found myself enraptured. Of course, I didn't immediately recognize the artist until I plugged the unit in to reveal the mystery band of this synth-pop/art pop/electronic masterpiece. Grimes?!!? I shuddered. I felt embarrassed. Silly even. Silly, narrow and reactionary! "Yikes," I thought. This isn't how I approach music. From that point forward I have spun this CD on a regular basis. I've played it for friends... The significance of this is these 'friends' are quite mainstream music lovers. The radio crowd. And, generally they are quite entertained. So, without hesitation, I gave Boucher a 5 star rating and remain steadfast in my conviction that she is today's most inventive art pop musician. 'Visions' takes me places. And with each repeat listen I hop on board and jet off on a very surreal journey of considerable euphoric consequence. Frankly, that's what real, true musical talent does for me. Gets me trippin'! Takes me on a walkabout, digga!!
