Seems more like a faceoff than a standoff.

also Björk > Kate Bush

“also any artist who manages to put out two masterpieces like Homogenic and Verspertine can put out a thousand other albums that are garbage for all I care. Not that she has done that. “
I mean she has what like 12 albums and 10 of them are shit? 10 is only two zeroes away from 1000
|
| |
“on the other hand the only three bjork albums that matter brick on any given radiohead album”
There is no Bork album I’d rather listen to than kid a, amnesiac, in rainbows, or tkol in any circumstance
|

How did I get baited into talking about Fucking Radiohead again, with a side of Bork no less, literally the worst thing to happen to music since white people got ahold of the guitar. Disgusting.

If I had to choose between keeping JUST “hidden Place” and keeping all of Amnesiac, that b-sides comp can go bye

Hunting bears, dollars and cents, pulk/pull all bottom decile rhead. Morning bell rendition useless. Pyramid song is great. Everything else is mediocre

"I mean she has what like 12 albums and 10 of them are shit? 10 is only two zeroes away from 1000"
Homogenic and Vespertine are pretty mcuh perfect. Post, Debut, Vulnicura and Medulla are great also. Don't care for her other albums but that's plenty of good albums
|
| |
Dumbest shit you’ve ever said and you once called duke Ellington a flop bitch. Pulk/pull is great and I might be wrong is literally top 5 Radiohead

Jared loves I might be wrong too but it’s boring tbh
Then again we disagree strongly on the King of Mids and the tunelessness of that album seems closest to Amnesiac’s bad parts
|
| |
Vesper tone is worse than homogenic by a bit and then ever sequential album is exponentially worse after that

true Amnesiac is pretty trash other than Pyramid Song which is one of their best songs
|

“tunelessness of that album”
“closest to Amnesiac’s bad parts”
Look at the songs you identified as amnesiacs worst and try and tell me that any of them are remotely like tkol aside from
Pulk/pull. Tuneless? Actual pleco brained comments, i expect better from you

Idk both albums seem like “oops we ran out of ideas” to me. Hunting bears is “tuneless” in an obvious way but I always thought “dollars and cents” was a complete bottoming-out. Hum that one
|
| |
Also the hypocrisy of simping for Bork and even having the word “tuneless” in your vocab
That should actually be illegal it’s so ironic

I mean isn't Amnesiac literally mostly comprised of outtakes from Kid a?

I haven’t listened to Bork past medulla I just think Vesp wipes the floor with Amnesiac if we’re talking contemporaneous releases. Amnesiac is mid/treading water, Vespertine is immensely based. Did those come out the same year
|
| |
“ Idk both albums seem like “oops we ran out of ideas””
Imagine saying this about the most original sounding Radiohead album since Kid A, regardless of whether or not you like it, when it’s followed by an album that is literally decade old songs in alphabetical order
How much glue did you sniff last night holy shit

I still can’t believe people like the king of limbs as a follow up to in rainbows tho. Shaking my damn head

I can agree that Moon Shaped Pool isn’t a reinvention at all, though I like it much better than the King of Limbs, which sure has an overarching new sound idea but no little melodies/structural play/cool ideas like at all for me on a local level (always say this but the patch after Bloom, which is “I guess fine”, is ROUGH for me). I reeeeeeaally don’t understand the appeal of that album
