this is the only album that i'm 100% sure there's a lyrical meaning but i cannot figure it out for the life of me. i appreciate the art without understanding or connecting to it and that's hella cool

same. at the very least, the lyrics are interesting and unsettling and I think that was the goal. I like the imagery, whether or not any of it is rooted in reality

genius nailed a lot of this album, provided excerpts from the band on almost every song too

i think that Ocean Song is a very harrowing narrative but also tells the story of anxiety really well, using an isolated panic attack to illustrate what life is like with an anxiety disorder while also expressing the desire to see if there rreally is a world outside of worrying about everything. City Song is an interesting meditation on urban life too

Yeah Ocean Song is definitely the easiest to follow, the atmosphere and narrative on it is so palpable and haunting.

Chills every time. Satan In The Wait is very interesting as well, from a lyrical perspective
