I really do believe it'll be out soon, they do this shit with every release. And to be honest, I'd rather have the surprise of it just appearing than having to wait for a release date.

Although, it better be fucking good, considering the wait for this album has been nearly double the wait for any of their other albums.

"Viginti Tres" is something being paulstretched. Any idea what the original sound is? You can clearly hear someone say something at 3:23.

I don't think Tool's next release can possibly live up to the hype from the years of waiting. I'm sure it will be enjoyable but leave people scratching their heads wondering why it took 9+ years for them to come up with it.

It'll be out this year. Not to worry.

Agreed. I'd be pretty pissed if 10,000 took 9 years to make.

I think this album is worth a 9 year wait tbh. However, with the age of these guys, there could be a chance it might not pay off this time.

4 years is a solid wait time for this album IMO. I'd wait 9 years for AEnema and 15 for Lateralus.

Unfortunately their next release probably won't be anywhere near either of those two records.

Who knows with them, I'm just hoping there will be a minimum of pointless interludes like with Lateralus

With Maynards voice going, I'm sure the next record will have plenty of interludes and instrumentals as well as more vocal effects.

With Tool's programme going, I'm sure the next record will not be.

This and Lateralus is tied for me. Aenima being the best.

The interludes in Lateralus are beautiful and the interludes in AEnema are at least pretty cool (although "Cesaro" is annoying). The interludes here just aren't that interesting. "Vinginti Tres" and "Lipan" are more than pointless.

Agreed, except I found a few of the interludes on Aenima to be pretty pointless too, like Useful Idiot and Ions

"ions" sounds cool to me and is really relaxing; I love the way the static flows from the left ear to the right when using headphones, kinda like ions are passing through my brain. "Useful Idiot" is admittedly pretty pointless but it at least bridges two songs together. Without it, "H" would end suddenly and "Forty Six & 2" would start from nowhere.
