I mean I can enjoy a good riff when I hear one but I like songs a lot more than I do riffs and 1) the riff in Cherub Rock isn’t that great and 2) a great riff does not a great song make.

The best song here are the ones that mix the heavy rock/shoegaze sections with pretty psych/dream pop parts. Cherub Rock is just all rock.
