its probably one of two things: they fell into the boring idea that all movies need a clear "good" guy and "bad" guy, or they figured that would be the only politically correct way to portray things because Varg is the one who committed the murder and he's known as a Nazi, so there was no room for nuance. or maybe both.

Don't know about that Adolf, I found Euronymous completely unlikeable throughout the whole movie as well.

I wonder if he has ever talked about that in one of his videos. He has made a good number of videos about the whole thing but I don't remember him saying anything about that infamous smile, though I probably haven't watched all of his videos on the subject so maybe he has talked about it before.

i didnt say he was wrongly convicted. but once again you're assuming to know what's going on in someone else's head. could be his way of coping with the situation. laughing when something really fucked up happens is a very common way of dealing with things. thats a really trivial reason to go "yep, that does it for me, he did it in cold blood and it wasnt self-defense at all." im not pretending to know either way. just saying that real life isnt like the movies, people respond to heavy things in ways that arent always expected.

There's nothing wrong with stabbing 23 someone who was going to torture you and kill you.
In case anyone takes this seriously, yeah, stabbing someone 23 times when probably just a few cuts would have been enough is excessive.

Don't you know? He was released a long time ago, has a family, a YouTube channel, a few books and he seems to be pretty chill now. He only served 15 years, but he was sentenced to 21.
