Like I wouldn’t pay $85 for most shows at this point. I’ve spent more than $100 exactly twice in my life. One was a Deftones VIP “experience” and the other was Metallica tickets that were a birthday gift to my uncle. And even then, metallica is playing two nights, so it’s really only like $75 per night.



Never in my life would I think Botch tickets would run higher than fucking Metallica. That’s so insane.

Good to hear! It'll be my first time seeing either of them. it's honestly not a show I'd typically pay that much for but my transmission went out on my car a few months back and my boy is going out there for it so I jumped on the chance just cuz I'm dying to get out and do something for once lol. I like what Gojira I've heard but I wouldn't say I'm a massive fan or anything. For Mastodon though I'm definitely a fan and although I don't love all of their stuff they do have some killer albums in their discography

I always was sort of a fan of Mastodon, they were great when I saw them with Ghost.



Bur Gojira really surprised me. As much as I adore Deftones, they really might’ve upstaged them. They were fucking awesome. And I always thought of them as a death metal band for people that don’t really like death metal, but they proved me wrong. They were on point.

I bought my ticket to the Denver show for $53 bucks through Ticketmaster. Still quite high for a hardcore show IMO considering I paid less to see Gojira & Knocked Loose in 2021.

Is the issue of bands getting robbed for their equipment really as bad as it sounds? I was hanging out with a few dudes from Night Demon a few years ago and then and some guys in another band were talking about how they'd be happy if they never go to St. Louis again because of that problem. That wasn't the first person I've heard that from either. You guys still get a decent chunk of stuff though.

Agreed on your points there completely. It's wild how there can be a simple solution right there yet nobody cares enough to bother to actually put a couple precautions in place. It sucks because now that Kansas City has lost the Riot Room a lot of shows we would have gotten could possibly hit STL instead but it probably doesn't happen as frequently as it should just out of fear from many bands of losing their shit. We've got our fair share of crime/gang violence and whatnot here but thankfully we haven't gotten the reputation for equipment/instrument theft as far as I know. The only time that happened here that I can recall was when Vital Remains came and that was way back when I was still in high school
