Best album after Morningrise. I'm pretty sure I came the first time I heard the Moor.

The Moor's pretty great but I think the other epics on here might be better

I kind of agree because of how incredible Serenity Painted Death and White Cluster are.

Yeah 2nd half of this is pretty much flawless

Maybe, but I can't get into them and I'd much rather listen to other stuff they've done

Good question

Because I find it boring, bar the Moor and Godhead's Lament. It focusses a lot on the riffs, which is cool, but not if you don't like them

I prefer the atmosphere a lot more, the acoustic sections are far more beautiful, Mikael's cleans sound much more emotional and heartfelt (fucking, bleak)

Personally I prefer this one's atmosphere, the bleakness of BWP gets a little redundant for me

mm, that's the best thing about it. I just think they're at their best when they're miserable and atmospheric

I love the bleakness and genuineness of BWP but this just has so many amazing riffs and similar atmosphere, those're probably my top 2
