I agree hard with you alex about DE/Koi though, sometimes i feel like they suffer from being too loud at times, the majority of the songs seem to aim for that HUGE loud big chorus feel, which which works well on most songs, but gets kind of tiresome.
i'll admit Koi nails the production perfectly on Rosemary and Leathers though, that style is a nice match

any mainstream rock record after like 2008 or so is gonna be mastered like that tho, in terms of just the mixing & production I'd say Koi is pretty perfect too
you can hear the "pre-master" (or at least something that's not quite brickwalled) on HDtracks for it, if anyone hasn't

Imo All Deftones production is top notch bar Adrenaline. SNW has beware though which is strangely different sounding to the rest of the album. Not significant enough to detract from it but noticeable enough to trigger my inner pedant. Its a dope song though I wish they played it more often

i know that track gets a lot of comparisons to beauty school, but i just don't hear it.
to me it sounds way better, i love the bass and it jams so hard when the melodic lead comes in.

Nah Abe's part definitely sounds different from Beauty School. Probably the same guitar tone though.
But Abe totally copied and pasted the chorus part from Digital Bath though in the 'chorus' section

now that is a comparison i can get behind. It honestly isn't a huge deal to me either that it sounds copied, cause that chorus part rules and it sounds a lot more up beat.
in case any one didn't notice tho, Chi is actually playing guitar on and chino is playing bass..
I swear if they aren't gonna finish Eros they should just release it unfinished, Chi was my favorite member and all i wanna do is hear his last musical ideas...
