Channel separation seems like everything is just stacked with no space. Doesn't sound natural or heavy to me, just muddy. I know production preference is hugely subjective, but that's one thing Pleiades' Dust did better and one of the reasons I'd put that EP over this. Much easier to listen to in that regard. Both stunning records, though.

Personally found it was spaced out enough that everything is completely audible without being compressed, and muddy enough to suit the tone and songwriting. It's personalized production, not cookie-cutter. The dynamics are huge too, something rarely seen in current metal releases. But yea, preferences are preferences.
