Man, "In a Jar" is one of be greatest songs in decades. I feel for those who can't get into this masterpiece.

Went back a few pages, and everyone seems to hate Be Gone. I love it, it's random as all hell, but in the context of the album it just...works. Hell I can listen to it on it's own just fine.

As much as I love this, I'm glad they're majorly changing direction. New song is good, and Noro felt like the perfect ending to that style they were pursuing.

An album full of songs like sink, millstone, jaws theme etc. could be interesting, a bunch of their more straightforward rock songs with a new style overall

yeah that's kinda the same way I felt, it's ok but even though it doesn't sound like their older stuff that much it still sounds like a regression

I want their next album to be TDAGARIM - emo + sufjan-esque folk + post-hxc(1/2) + 2x twinkle

Snake, you voted Deja Entendu as your favorite alt. rock album on that list

Yeah if the new album isn't a "progression" and is in the same vein as this, I'll be fine with it.

@Talons yeah i depended on rym to decide which was alt rock or not because it's such a broad genre and tdagarim wasn't voted to be an alt rock album but deja was

YFW was pop-punk.

Deja was just alternative. Maybe you could call it alt-rock but the rock half is a stretch.

TDAG is alt-rock.

Daisy is like an alt-rock and grunge bastard child

Is there a difference between alternative and alternative rock? I mean I've heard of "adult alternative" but I don't think that applies to Deja

I'd consider TDAG alt/indie and Daisy indie/p-hc

I know alternative is too broad, so if anything I'd say Deja is alternative punk, if that's a thing.

YFW is a well made pop punk album

Deja Entendu is the perfect emo album to me

Devil and God is an amalgamation of alt. rock, post-hardcore, emo, and indie.

This is alt. rock and post-hardcore with some noise rock influences.
