Surprisingly awesome first listen, yeah there's a lot going on & some of it I probably went right over my head the first time but I dig the general atmosphere/vibe of the album. Almost feels more like a progressive/experimental record than a DM one, not sure how it manages to stay interesting for the duration & it could easily have been a cacophonous mess but somehow isn't... And I love the bits with the weird ghoulish sounding vox.
I honestly thought I'd be coming back here & saying it was just noise to me whereas this is my favourite Gorguts so far. Intrigued to see what reveals itself on further listens.
