Madvillain's second album is rumored to be coming out later this year ... awww yes.

Honestly I’d be down with a post-humous madvillain album. Madlib would be an excellent person to handle unheard doom verses. There have been a lot of recent post-humour hip hop albums lately that have been handled really well. Phife Dawg and Gang Starr for instance, really great tributes.

Madvillainy 2 was basically done IIRC. It's probably in some weird label limbo (Stonesthrow), and probably DOOM's family just needs to approve it and give the okay.

some of the loose Madvillain tracks floating around like Travis 911 are pretty incredible, I hope it does release one day
they probably need permission from that knob who's hoarding DOOM's rhyme books tho

I still think Vaudeville Villain is my favorite DOOM and/or DOOM-adjunct.

completely agree but also ironic because it seemed in the years preceding his death the consensus regarding a potential madvillainy 2 was "ehhh maybe not"... at least from the reddit/fantano sorta niche

True but listen, anything that distracts madlib from wasting beats on people like freddie gibbs..
