But I know the second you cross the border gas prices shoot up like 50 cents. It was pushing $6 a gallon at one point back when they were real high last year.

i did a bit of research last year when i was traveling across the country. either way it was cheap everywhere compared to europe or even canada but yeah $6 a gallon is high, that's close to european gas prices. IIRC they were between $4 and $5 in the states when i was visiting



i agree though, as much as love botch i wouldn't spend $200+ on a show unless it was a full lineup of kickass bands

Ticket price definitely feels a little steep for a hardcore show, but $40+ fees is probably close to the new norm for club shows, unfortunately. I can completely understand not wanting to make a multi-hundred dollar weekend out of it though. I only pulled the trigger because I live halfway betweet Chi and Det, and can reasonably make the trip back that night.
