I should probably check them again but I don't remember liking either of those albums much.

These guys have changed a lot between each album (and in my opinion always for the better). I really hope they keep it up

Eh Canada Songs is more of a novelty considering how far they've come since. I'd say Hell Songs is worth revisiting though

Canada Songs isn't for me, but Hell Songs is a mindfuck. A good kind.

I think I got to them through something on facebook. Either some band or some magazine (revolver?) posted something about their new single "The Reason They Hate Me" and then it clicked. But yeah, melon has a huge influence. When I went to their show here in Germany so many people were talking about his 10/10 and how rarely he gives a 10 and all that shit

I had tickets for them to play a 250 cap room like two years ago (which did sell out so they were probably a bit bigger than that room) and now they're probably gonna sell out the 1200 cap venue in December, shit is crazy lmao. Saw them last year and you could definitely tell who knew of them from TND.

also all their albums rock. recorded inside a pyramid 4 life.

They also opened for Dillinger on two of their last shows. that’s how I heard of them.

And ya, my city doesn’t get a ton of good bands but they sold out a 700 cap venue here

The outro to Recorded In A Pyramid is the scariest fucking thing I've ever heard. Makes everything on this album sound like kittens and rainbows in comparison.

yeah that shit is nuts lol. such a good ass song from start to finish. as much as i love this record, i miss that kind of shit. i hope they lean a little more chaotic for the follow up. or at least put more splashes of it in there, but i don't doubt it'll be near perfect however they decide to go.
