It's kinda cool/funny/uncool that the opener on their 2009 album was basically their most accessible song until 2012 album opener, and then THAT was supplanted by the next album opener. you could maybe split hairs on aimless-vs-tear, but both my brother and my ex were like "okay this is almost music" when I played a single tear

Nvm found it. I think it’s fake. No Doom in Bloom and idk, 31 mins just seems so short and the guy in that thread was right, I remember reading, from Ben I think, that they had like 20 songs written, I know they had trouble deciding what songs to keep and what songs to cut on this but I refuse to believe they wrote 20 songs and are only using half of them.
Having said that tho, all of those song titles read like something Jacob would write, idk. It could go either way I guess. There being no Doom in Bloom is what has me leaning toward it being bullshit.

Oh and I saw them play WWNTS, which stands for We Were Never the Same evidently, and it really didn’t strike me as a closer. But I guess I could say the same thing about Reptilian and Predatory Glow.
Also really hoping it being a single and the closer isn’t true, I fucking hate when bands do that. But it wouldn’t be the first time these guys did it. I think Reptilian was a prerelease single

And 31 mins just seems so damn short. Petitioning would be the only record shorter than that and I know the band doesn’t even really consider that an album. YFM is next and that’s a solid 5 mins longer.
Idk. If it is true I’m not disappointed, I’d rather have a short record that’s all killer no filler, it would just be very surprising if they dropped something that short. Also, after Eve and the t/t here, I expected a long “centerpiece” style song, according to that Reddit post not a single song hits the 5 min mark.
I just need something soon. Things have been tough lately, and I legitimately started tearing up when I saw that record pop on the database here. My favorite band of all time dropping their first proper record in almost 9 years… I was in fucking college the last time they came out with a (non Bloodmoon) record.
I hope they still intend on doing a Bloodmoon II but I need regular converge like a junkie needs some H. I’m fiendin over here
