Ugh I hate AOTY season

Usually I don't hear some of the best albums until years later, since there are always gems that slip through the cracks. I used to be really into it but now ranking albums just feels like a chore

yeah it can really burn you out, especially if you don't have a lot of free time

I just use an itunes playlist that I use to rank the best over the course of the year. Once I get to know an album I place it in the list accordingly and then come year's end its pretty much done and ready. I shuffle stuff around of course, but its definitely easier than trying to organize it all in late december - espeicially when you have 300+ albums to go through.
