New release has spurred me into actually formulating this thought....
I don't think I'll ever understand the "music scene" circle-jerk over the "good pop artists" that is seems hip to be into (thinking this CRJ, Charlie XCX, Lorde, T-Swift, etc.). It may just be that the style doesn't resonate much with me, but I don't find this type of thing to be THAT much different from tepid and boring radio-pop - especially not to justify to obscene degree that enlightened internet folks will go to prop it up.
