honestly having listened to this roughly six million times, I feel like most of the stuff that could'veee potentially been cut is on the front half of this album. most of the back half is brilliant imo.

can't imagine anyone's bored listening to faaip de oiad

yeah Tyler the back half is def stronger, its a dense and over bearing album so its exhausting by the time you get there but give the bag half a chance on its own. Disposition + Reflection is unbelievably good if you warm up to it, a vibe only Tool could ever nail. and the t/t is literally a perfect rock song, their version of stairway to heaven if that makes any sense

like its weird how i look at this album cuz like wwf said i feel the front half is a bit less coherent. I love literally ever second of audio on this album, but I wish it was cut up in a different way. I think ticks + the grudge + the patient are all fuckin bangers but they coulda found home in a different album. Schism, Parabol(a), Lateralus, Disposition, Triad, Faaip de oiad is what really makes this alb stand out for me and where i think this gets its identity

I think the sequencing is perfect just like everything else about this, even if I don't really listen to Faaip de oiad much given how terrifying it is.

So like specifically what does the CD packaging look like? Been thinking about giving in and just buying this for the cool packaging alone. The one for AEnima is one of my favorites

Yeah, this one is better than Ænima's. It's basically completely see-through and the booklet is that human painting that is broken down each page. The CD itself also makes part of the artwork.

It's all covered by the sleeve you can see on the pic for the album on here

The last 50 seconds of The Grudge is to be one of the best music moments of all time
